Community Hub - We are transforming our advice centre in a new community hub aimed at improving support for local people. The hub will include:
Advice and information
Childrens and family services
shop for sale of donated goods
Computer corner, plus much more!
Mossway Hall, loved locally, now supports more families and children following the closure of the childrens centre and is undergoing refurbishment. New kitchen, disabled toilets and redecoration now complete. Further works starting Sept.
Mossway is now being used by 6 community groups and over 60 children and families each week.
Croxteth also has a Beatles connection!! The Beatles, featuring John, Paul, George and Pete Best played at Mossway Hall on Friday 17th March 1961, The Beatles didn't earn any money from this show, but they were allowed to drink as much Guinness as they were able - 17 March is St Patrick's Day. the venue with the original stage is still here today.
These images are from 1961 and from a gig that was played elsewhere. Do you have any pictures of Mossway in 1961 or maybe some stories you would like to share? We are working with local press to promote the hall.
